About the property
Hi there,
Our housemate is unfortunately moving out so we are looking for someone to join us at our Brunswick home. We love our place and are looking for someone (or a couple) who would be a good fit for the household and will enjoy living here as much as we do.
This is a two-storey, 4-bedroom house in the heart of Brunswick. Convenience is king and we are a hop, skip, and jump away from Brunswick Baths, Barkly Square, Princess Park, and of course, all the best bars, cafes, bakeries, and restaurants in the area. Brunswick Station as well as the #1, #8 and #19 trams are 7-10 min walk from the house.
Your room is on the second floor. It's the master bedroom of the house, being the biggest, with a walk in robe and ensuite bathroom. The room faces north, is 4.4m x 2.9m. The rent is $430 per week for a single or a bit more ($500) for a couple. Bills are split evenly between the housemates.
The house is beautiful and has all the mod cons such as ducted aircon/heating, great fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, extra spare bathroom, backyard, ultrafast nbn and a large loungeroom with a TV/projector and sound system for chilling out. The place is fully furnished, we have some basic bedroom furniture in the room (NOTE: it is not the same furniture in the bedroom pictures, we have different furniture in the room now) however feel free to bring your own furniture. Happy to chat about any additional shared furniture you may want to bring into to the house too.
We're two professionals in our early and mid 30s, working full time in education and tech. We are pretty lowkey and definitely not a party house. In saying that, we do enjoy sharing a meal and a chitchat over a glass of wine or two with the house. Looking for someone or a couple with a similar lifestyle, working full time in a professional capacity, easy-going, friendly, tidy, considerate, and environmentally friendly. I work in tech full time (hybrid remote), play a bit of futsal, enjoy video games, like going for hikes and camping and love a quiet pint at the pub or a chill glass of wine at home. I'm regularly checking out live music or just riding my bike around. I also love food and cooking.
Lynh- Hi I'm Lynh! I love wine and the great outdoors. I'm also a big foodie and enjoy cooking meals at home every now and again. During the warmer months am often away hiking, camping or just at the beach doing my thing, or even travelling overseas. I'm a teacher and I'm also fairly career driven, spending a lot of time at home doing my work with a glass of wine in hand. During winter I like to visit wineries or the local area for a pub meal in front of a fireplace.
Occasional house activities could include board games, movies, house dinners etc the standard stuff. We'd love to share some of our interest for cooking with a new house mate.
We're looking for somebody who matches our living style and in a similar stage in life. Either an individual to take the room or a couple could work. Sorry but we won't be able to have pets here.
