BACKGROUND:
Hi! I am Abhi and I own this lovely home. My lovely mother and awesome housemates live here too. So you donโt have to deal with any unpleasant real estate agents or boring housemates ๐ Our housemate has just moved out. So, we're looking for a nice housemate to join our happy little home!
OUR HOME:
We have a bright, modern and spacious townhouse with 2 levels. We have a modern kitchen with dishwasher, laundry, storage space, spacious living room & modern bathroom with a bathtub. Plus we have a nice little backyard with sunshine too! Positive and peaceful vibes are included at no additional cost :)
OUR COMPLEX & COMMUNITY:
Our complex is a secure gated complex- nice and safe. We have a lovely community of neighbours and a cute community garden in the middle of the complex! This is where we hang out with our neighbours and sometimes do walking meditation/ laughter yoga ๐
OUR LOCATION:
Our location is great! 5 min to Highpoint Shopping Centre, 3 min to ALDI and the tram/ bus stop is just outside our back entrance (on Gordon St). We are blessed to have amazing walking trails by Maribyrnong River & Parklands just 5 min away โค๏ธ It's 15 min walk to Vic uni/ / Footscray hospital. Itโs a short tram ride to Footscray Station/ Footscray Market. Local restaurants are 2 min walk and the amazing Barkly Street Restaurants with awesome ethnic food are close by too.
If youโre new to Melbourne- I love Footscray because it feels like the Multicultural hub of Melbourne with amazing food, a lovely arts scene and lots of cute bars too. Good combination of conveniences of being close to the city, well-priced and a suburb with a soul!
THE ROOM:
It is a nice little room downstairs. It's decently sized with a single bed, cupboard, table, a chair and a window. Great if you are on a budget and want your own space!
P.S. You have your own detached toilet too..
DEPOSIT/ CONTRACT:
We want someone for minimum 3 months or longer up to 12 months.
The bond is one monthโs rent.

About the flatmates
Although we all pursue our own interests and love our quiet time, we hang out together a fair bit- having meals together, watching movies, practising mindfulness, little parties or day-trips together ๐
Abhi: I am a 39 yo Indian Australian (As I like to call myself!) Iโm a bit of a social butterfly and quite spiritual. I have recently spent 5 years in Asia pursuing my spiritual journey at a Meditation Centre & Kids shelter. I have been back for a few months and settling back in Melbourne โค๏ธ
I work in the events space, study positive psychology and teach meditation & Laughter Yoga in my spare time :) I love organising events, connecting people and creating a community vibe!
Guy: Guy is our wonderful housemate, 22 yo and from Thailand. He is a chef specialising in Thai food and he is super friendly and very caring. Guy is passionate about sustainability and he is quite spiritual. He loves being active and you'll see him going to our community gym/pool regularly and going to our amazing local river and parklands for daily walks in nature! He's very community oriented and always up for a chat and outdoor adventures ๐
Kirti (Mum): She is the cutest member of our home and everyone loves her :) 65 yo but you could never tell by looking at her zest for life โค๏ธ Sheโs a bubble of positive energy and very heartful. She loves walks in nature, practising yoga & mindfulness and of course cooking! She has been going through an amazing journey of wellness. She goes to our local community gym/ swimming pool 4 times a week and she loves being a part of the active seniors community. She even got featured by our local city council as one of the model citizens!
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for social, warm, easy-going and clean flat-mates. Someone who likes having good chats, outdoor adventures and become a part of our happy little family. It wonโt suit a very studious, quiet or a very shy person. Weโre looking for a lovely housemate who is clean. Someone who'd like to join in for the fun activities and have a great time together ๐
