Warm and cosy where you can sit on the front verandah enjoying the quietness of the street, this eclectic treasure features a welcoming hallway with high ceilings, an expansive open plan living and dining area with 8-seater dining table, 3-seater couch, various retro arm chairs, gas heating and air conditioning. A sun filled common garden area gives you a place to enjoy some fresh air. The fully equipped north facing kitchen has timber benchtops, pressed metal splash back, double sink, ceiling fan, Westinghouse dishwasher, LG fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave, with individual cupboards to store your food. There are two shared bathrooms on the property including a classic bathroom (shower, new toilet and vanity) and the combined bathroom/laundry with shower, Bosch washing machine and separate toilet.
All rents include electricity, gas, water, all linens and towels, and internet.
Each room has a press-code lock for security and entry. Available to rent are:
Bedroom 1: This west facing bedroom enjoys a double bed, desk with chair, chest of drawers, vintage wardrobe, a panel heater and pedestal fan.
Bedroom 2: The biggest and best in the home with its own air conditioner, this west-facing bedroom enjoys a double bed, vintage 60s wide desk with chair, an arm chair, floor lamp, vintage dresser and wardrobe.
Bedroom 3: This south facing bedroom is perfect for summer months with its king single bed, desk, 2 chests of drawers, an open clothes rack, panel heater and desk fan.
Bedroom 4: This central bedroom has a king single bed, desk, 2 chests of drawers, bedside lamp, desk lamp, open clothes rack, a mirror, portable fan and panel heater.
In this quiet back street adjoining a pedestrian walkway that takes you to Michael McCoy Reserve and into the gate for D and P buildings at Victoria University, you’re also only metres to the social activities of Footscray Park Bowling Club where you can play barefoot bowls, Footscray Hospital and Maribyrnong River. Catch a tram to a with a wide range of cuisines, cafes and shops along Barkly Street, Footscray Market, local gyms or to Footscray station to get into the city. Note: only minutes to Flemington Racecourse and the Melbourne Showgrounds.

3. Our rates include all bills. Others may ask you to pay bills as extra.
4. Our rates include fast Internet. Others may charge for Internet or not provide Internet at all.
5. We allow short term stays. Others may ask for a minimum of 12 months.
6. We arrange regular common area cleaning. Others may roster you into cleaning the kitchen and toilet.
7. Our properties include a full set of bed linens. Others may only provide empty beds without linens.
8. We accept Bondable for security, meaning you don't have to come up with cash for bond.
Or you can choose to pay cash for bond (4 weeks' rent). Others ask for cash as security.
9. We choose flatmates very carefully. Everyone is easy going, respectful, and law-abidding.
10. Our properties are all professionally styled. They look as they are in our photos.
Application process is very simple:
For international students and working holiday visa holders, the only thing we need is your passport.
For local residents, we just need your driver's licence/passport, and your payslips or employment letters.
Once the above are emailed to us, you will generally get acceptance within 24 hours.
