2 Bed, 1 Bath, Off-Street Parking - Leafy Top-Floor Apartment in Hawthorn East
I’m looking to rent out the second bedroom in my spacious apartment in Hawthorn East. The apartment is in a quiet 1960s low-rise block, directly opposite a giant park, and is super close to both Auburn and Camberwell Stations (5-10min walk).
The living area and balcony get beautiful morning sunlight and overlook a shared garden and fountain - it’s honestly one of my favourite things about the place. The living space is generous, air-conditioned, and includes a dining table.
The kitchen is huuuge with loads of bench space, plus there’s a separate internal laundry (and a shared sunny clothesline downstairs). The balcony looks out over the garden and fountain, and I do my best to keep a few plants alive out there... any green thumbs are very welcome to assist!
Your bedroom gets lovely afternoon sun, overlooks a leafy tree, and has its own built-in wardrobes. It would comfortably fit a queen bed. The apartment has one bathroom, but the toilet is separate, and it’s a really comfortable size for two people to share.
I currently use the second bedroom as an office, but I’m renting it out to save some extra money for travelling. I'm selling the couch in the photo, and desk will move into the living room. You’re more than welcome to use it too if you WFH.
Extras worth mentioning:
- Off-street undercover car parking
- Unlimited NBN internet, which you’re welcome to share with me (on top of rent)
- Secure intercom entry
- Top-floor (no lift)
- The apartment is air-conditioned, but your room doesn't have its own split system
- 5-10min walk to either Auburn Village and Auburn Station or Camberwell Station.

Hi, I'm Aimee! I'm a 33 y/o teacher and business owner, and I live in my Hawthorn East apartment with my mini dachshund, Teddy. It goes without saying that the biggest pre-requisite for being my flatmate is that you must love dogs, because Teddy has a big personality for a little guy, and he'll love you like you're his second parent.
I'm looking to rent out my second bedroom (currently used as an office) as I'm looking to save some extra money for travelling. I'm looking to share with another professional in a similar age range, around 27 to 35.
My home is my sanctuary, so I'd love to live with someone who's respectful, clean, and will treat our apartment like it's their own. I like my own space, but I'd love to live with someone who's happy to watch TV with a cuppa together at night, cook a few meals together every now and then, and go for walks/wines on the weekend if we're both around. I'm relatively new to the area, so I've been loving checking out the surrounding cafes, parks and wine bars.
I spend my free time going to the gym or going for runs, taking Teddy on hikes, catching up with friends and occasionally visiting my family in Adelaide. Ideally, I'd love for you to move in around April, but I'm not in a massive rush. I'm keen to meet you in person and see if we'll be a good fit.
