Hey future housemate! I’m looking for a friendly, female housemate to share my cute Surrey Hills flat, available from late February (open to earlier by discussion), ideally on a 12-month lease.
📍 Fairly quiet street, close to Union Rd shops including a supermarket, pharmacy, cafés, restaurants and a wine bar
🚂 Union Station and 766 & 612 buses (5-minute walk), plus the 109 tram line (15-minute walk); Eastern & Monash Freeways close by
🏡 Apartment has reverse-cycle A/C, is fully furnished, with a shared bathroom including laundry, and a balcony (no pets, couples or smokers/vapers)
🛏️ Bedroom is unfurnished but includes a wardrobe, is north-facing with lots of natural light, and has on-street parking available with permit
Rent: $330 p/w excl. bills
Bond: $1,430
Bills: Split evenly
I’ll be starting chats over the next week (W/C 9/02) and am keen to find the right fit.
What I’m looking for in my future housemate 👯♀️
Ideally late twenties to mid thirties, up for house dinners, a yap, or the occasional MAFS/trash-TV watch, but also happy to do your own thing. I’m hoping to live with someone friendly where we’re comfortable hanging out, not just co-existing. You’re respectful, reliable and house-proud, keep shared spaces tidy, and are happy to contribute to house cleaning. I’m mindful about energy use and sustainability, so I’m looking for someone who’s conscious about heating, cooling and utilities, and values their space feeling genuinely like home.
If this sounds like your vibe, please send me a message with a bit about you and what you’re looking for in a home 🪩

About me 🙋♀️
I’m Kate, in my early thirties, and a bit of a social butterfly. I love the arts, reading, visiting galleries, and fashion. I’m hoping to start my Pilates era this year (heaps of studios nearby!) and enjoy exploring Melbourne, from the outdoors to new bars and restaurants. I love hosting friends for dinner, book club, wine and cheese nights, and the occasional event.
