Looking for a place to stay in the Eastern suburbs over Christmas and the New Year?

Well, why not sub-let my room in an awesome sharehouse with a pool that’s also 5 minutes walk to the beach…

I’m heading back home to Melbs for the break, which means my room is available from 20 December through till 6 January.

The place (unironically called Brontecalo) is approximately a 5 - 7 minute walk to Bronte Beach. Tamarama is a tiny bit further away, but can be reached under 10 minutes if you’ve got a kick in your step.

And did I mention Brontecalo has a f***ing pool? Yep, you heard that right, a standalone house in the eastern suburbs with a pool! Crazy, I know, but we’re not mad about it.

You’ll be living with:

• Chloe. Kiwi, house mum and total legend. One of those ‘could talk to a brick wall’ type operators. Recently moved to Sydney after living up north working as a diving instructor. Has plenty of crazy travel stories. When not working as a recruiter, Chloe can be found upping the step count along the Bronte-Bondi walk or roaming Coogee Bay Hotel.

• Harrison. Every home needs a pet. So we decided to adopt an American. Yeehaa 🇺🇸. Jokes aside, Harrison is a legend who’s been in Sydney just over a year now. He works in tech sales and has a side hustle as a tennis coach. Harrison digs video games, hitting the gym, and hawling in very large yellowfin Tuna.

Is this still available?
Yes (as of 9:35pm AEST 17 December 2025).

When is the room available?
20 December 2025 - 6 January 2026.

How much is rent?
$1,617 for the whole period (approx $650 per week).

Is rent due upfront?
Yes. If we go ahead, you’ll need to pay bond and rent for the entire period you will be staying.

Can I just stay for 1 week?
To ensure stability for Chloe and Haz, strong preference will be given to people renting out the place for the entire period. Will happily show some flexibility if needed, but a 2 week/14 day stay is the minimum.

How much is bond?
$500 refundable.

We’re a couple, will you consider us?
Absolutely.

I have a pet, is that okay?
We are all personally pro cats n dogs but clause 17.5(iii) of the Tenancy Agreement makes that a bit tricky, sorry!

Are bills included?
Yes. So sit back, relax, and rest easy knowing wifi / water / energy for your stay is all included in the rent.

Is the bathroom en suite?
No, you’ll be sharing with x2 others.

Am I the right fit?
We want someone who’ll slot right into the dynamic we’ve already got going on here: someone friendly, sociable, chill, easygoing and ideally, with a good sense of humour. This is a 4 bedroom place, so we probably also want someone with experience living in share-house environment’s before who is comfortable in the ‘goldilocks zone’ (not too messy, not too OCD).
