Finding this house has been one of the highlights of moving to Sydney. We regularly have breakfast watching whales pass by, enjoy ocean views from the balcony, and love being able to walk to Coogee or Maroubra Beach in 15 minutes, or cycle to UNSW in 15 minutes. Buses to the light rail and Circular Quay are right at the doorstep, making commuting and getting around effortless.

The house is exceptionally spacious, and you will have plenty of areas to relax in your own space. The house is on a quiet street right by the ocean.

The Room(s)

Two Bedrooms upstairs with a shared bathroom. They are both closed off from the main house.

There are two rooms to rent so it could be great for a single young professional or a couple wanting a 2-bedder vibe with benefits of a big house instead of an apartment.

The rest of the house is fully furnished — you just need to furnish your bedroom(s). Alternatively we could set up the furnishing for you ahead of time for a small fee.

You’ll be living with:

Aaron – works in NGO / environmental space, originally from Canada

Emma – Primary School Teacher doing a PhD in Education, loves community gardens, rooftop tenting, and cooking

Echo – a 1-year-old very calm and lovable border collie who loves everyone and is always keen for walks and swims

We’re all busy during the week, but enjoy a homely vibe so looking for people who are doing their own thing but want to catch up for dinner or a drink once in a while. Some work from home is OK, but prefer to have the house not feel too crowded.

Lifestyle & Practicalities

Interests around the house include diving, hiking, surfing, running, cooking, movies, camping, and boating

Would love to find people who want to look after the house and the space and keep things neat and tidy.

Professional cleaner every three weeks, with rotating light cleaning weekends in between

No smoking - sorry!

Rent & Costs

$450/week per bedroom, or

$900/week for a couple (two bedrooms)

Bond: 4 weeks’ rent

Utilities: approx. $10–15/week
