Hello potential housies!

I'm a 25yo queer kid who has an addiction to earl grey and an occasional propensity to feed everyone just because I like it. I have lived in shared accommodation for the last six years in Melbourne, Hobart and London. However, I’ve grown very attached to Footscray this past year. I’d love to stay close by but open to moving elsewhere for the right house!

In less distanced times I was an arts administrator and a performer, writer and occasional tutor. Still figuring out this new world order, but generally I like to leave the theatrics at the door and have a comparatively chill home life. I’m an avid piano player and love Billy Joel enough to own one of his vinyls without a vinyl player and unrivalled cult TV obsessions. I like having friends around, but only in small doses and usually to drink tea and watch good TV drama.

I value the work being put in to build a safe space and honour open communication where feelings are respected. I love a dynamic where housies can have a laugh and a beer together, spontaneous philosophical discussions in the kitchen but also give each other downtime when needed. I like to keep shared spaces clean, particularly bathrooms, but I need to feel free to be as I am in my own space.

I'm read as a white man and I'm mindful of that privilege, however I’m queer so LGBT+ friendly is necessary for me. My house ideally is not misogynistic, racism-free, disability friendly and just generally people being able to express themselves as they are. We're all learning and growing 🙂
