Hi! :) I’m Malik, 33, Congolese and queer.

I’m currently making a career change and studying full-time to become an Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) worker, so I’m looking for part-time work. After years of corporate nine-to-five jobs, I found myself feeling burnt out and unfulfilled. I decided to retrain in a field that feels meaningful, where I can support people and do more than simply earn a paycheque.

At home, I’m pretty relaxed and enjoy recharging with TV and movies. I’m obsessed with Traitors and recently discovered Ex on the Beach. Reality TV is my preferred source of drama because I’m a classic introvert and like to keep my real life peaceful!

I’m also a keen runner and currently training for a marathon. I love LEGO too, I find building it surprisingly meditative.

Ideally, I’d love to live with housemates who are open to occasionally sharing a meal or having a movie night, while still having our own lives and respecting each other’s space. Most importantly, I’m clean, considerate and like to keep shared areas tidy,especially the bathroom.

I know $250 per week is a little low in the current market, but I’m willing to increase my budget to $300. I’m also hoping to find part-time work soon.
