Hi potential housemates!
I'm Gemma, a 30-year-old Masters student and disability support worker, looking for a friendly, well-maintained share house close to the Royal Children's Hospital.
I'm currently completing a full-time Master of Genomics & Health at the University of Melbourne's Royal Children's Hospital campus and am about 1/4 of the way through a two-year program. Alongside study, I work in disability and community support (looking to move into medical admin). Most of my time is spent studying, working, walking my dog, catching up with friends, exploring Victoria, and planning my next adventure.
I come with my 6-year-old Border Collie cross, Sage. She's a gentle, friendly girl who loves people and other animals. Despite being a Border Collie, she's not particularly high-energy and spends most of her day snoozing when we're not out for a walk or visiting the dog park. She's equally happy joining me on adventures or quietly keeping someone company while they work or relax.
I'm a clean, considerate and easy-going housemate who values open communication, mutual respect and a positive home environment. I enjoy sharing the occasional meal, movie night, coffee or chat with housemates, but I also appreciate that everyone needs their own space and downtime.
Sage and I are rental/sharehouse trained from the past 10+ years and I'm happy to contribute to keeping the house tidy, share household chores, and help maintain outdoor spaces and gardens. I have my own car and can usually be flexible with parking arrangements.
Ideally, I'm looking for a share house with a sense of community, that is respectful, drama-free and feels like a home rather than just a place to sleep. I'm hoping to stay for at least 12–18 months while I complete my Masters, and potentially longer if it's the right fit.
I'm looking for housemates who are friendly, respectful and easy to communicate with. I'd love to live with people who enjoy the occasional chat or shared meal, but who also understand the importance of personal space and downtime. A household that values cleanliness, consideration and a relaxed atmosphere would be ideal.
I'm looking to move from my current rental (apartment/ upstairs of a townhouse in Northcote) to cut down on PTV travel time and so that Sage will have an outdoor space to toilet in during the day, as I'm looking to spend some full 8-9 hours days on campus.
I'm happy to provide references, discuss lease arrangements, and Sage even has her own pet resume!
Looking forward to hearing from you.
