Marla

Hello!
My name is Marla, and I am a computer science student from Berlin. I got the great opportunity to study in Sydney for one term, so now I am looking for a place to stay at from September until the end of December.

It is quite difficult to describe someone’s personality in a few words, but I would say I am open minded, funny and I love to travel. This of course can be a lot of things, but in my case, it means that I am happy to meet new people, to lean about new places and different ways of life. As long as someone is not racist or discriminatory in any other way, I love to learn about whatever the person wants to share. I must admit that I am quite curious, but I would like to point out that I am not intrusive. It is very import to me to respect personal space. You don’t have to tell me anything, but I am happy to listen if you want to, and I am also ready to just chat about life and the world.

About the funny: Humor is my go-to tool to connect with people and dealing with all kinds of situations. Of course I can be serious when the situation demands it and I will be attentive how someone feels, but I think laughter makes almost everything better. And I'm not so arrogant to think that everyone finds me funny.

Since I only have a short four month to explore Sydney and the surrounding area, I am always willing to try out new things, especially if it is something creative or going into the theater, concerts, museums, or art installations. Although I enjoy going out a lot and in particular love dancing, I also like to stay home and cook and just spend a relaxing evening. I think it is important that everyone feels comfortable at home and has a place to retreat to and recharge their social batteries. Therefore, I will always communicate in an open and accommodating way and respect all kinds of personal boundaries.

To conclude my introduction: I am searching for a lively, considerate, and interactive living together.
