Hello, we are moving to Australia from the US. I will be starting a PhD program in marine science at UNSW. Elijah will be working in Sydney full time. I am currently looking for a room to rent (private bathroom a plus) for 3 months to 6 months and accepting couples. We would love a place in Coogee, South Coogee, or Maroubra for access to the beach, but will consider Randwick and Bondi if the place looks like a good fit. I'll be starting off without transportation so proximity to UNSW, grocery stores, shops, and the beach is important. We will hopefully get a car asap to get out and explore the country! We are also interested in a teamup to find a house or apartment together with a longer lease, up to a year, if location is good. My partner and I are very clean and respectful housemates. We like cooking and entertaining as hosts, but also enjoy nights out in the city or weekends away camping. We are also looking to make friends who can show us around and help us feel welcome in the area. We are always up for anything related to the ocean and the outdoors if anyone is looking for travel buddies! Thanks, Melissa and Elijah.
Sandra, I, is a 152 cm girl from Sweden who is happy, positive and laughfull with great energy. I been living in Australia for 7 months now and I really do love it! So I'll be here another year. Love hanging out at the beach, socializing and travel. Well, with shorter words: just having fun! I'm fairly laid back, easy going and cool who loves to keep myself active. I keep the place fairly clean and I'm respectful of others. I would love to live in a social flat, not only people to live with but also to be friends with. Keen to go out for dinner and drinks as a group occasionally or just having a chill night at our place. Don't mind to have family and friends over. At the same time I respect others privacy and down time.
Hi, I'm Max and am moving out to Australia on a working year visa. I'm not planning to do the whole travelling thing, but rather get out there, get a job and knuckle down. I have friends from the UK who have moved to Aus and I essentially want their life. I'm incredibly easy going and love meeting and getting to know new people. I'm always up for a drink (or several) and discovering new places. In the UK I'm a technology journalist, which I'm hoping to continue in Australia, but I also plan to work in some cocktail bars.
Hey! I'm Sarwar, a post-grad student at UNSW studying Linguistics. I'm looking for a furnished single room for at least 4-6 months of stay. I'm an easy-going, co-operative, and open-minded guy, and I love to socialize and spend time with my flatmates, but I also respect their personal space and time. I always try my best to keep the house clean and tidy, especially the social areas such as the kitchen, living room, and bathrooms. I'm usually on board for random exploration plans, trying out new food joints or going out to grab a drink from time to time (given I don't have heaps of readings or exams coming up)!! I do enjoy my FIFA quite a bit; but who said board games can't be fun every now and then eh?! :P Attending a variety of sports events, and other live events are somethings I truly do enjoy too when time and finances permit, ha! I have lived in the US during my undergrad years, and have been in Sydney since July 2017 -- so I understand what it means to live with flatmates and I enjoy the experiences it brings too! Looking forward to what this new semester will hold! Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have! :)
My name is Andrea, 30yo Italian. I’m a professional hospitality worker (restaurant manager) and I’m leaving my apartment in Newtown after 2 years. I have always really wanted to get closer to the ocean but I am in love with the inner west. I like reading, running, ride my bicycle, my motorbike and, of course, wine. I’m looking for a place that I can call home, with someone who I can get along and share a glass of wine. Or two. Working full time in a restaurant I have mainly mornings and Sundays off, so that I can relax and enjoy the beach and the outdoor.
Hi, I did a PhD in Materials Science for photovoltaic applications in Switzerland and will hopefully move to Sydney end of June/beginning of July to start working at UNSW as a postdoc. So I’m looking for a place to stay. Ideally it would be a shared flat not too far from the campus but neither from the beach ; ), with a private, fully furnished room as I won‘t be bringing furniture. Actually even though I did most of my studies in Switzerland, I'm originally from Germany and am also half French. I've lived in shared flats before, am a easy going person, like it tidy and rather calm but would also enjoy to share a glass of wine or a beer, a meal or an adventure with my flatmates. I'm a very active person, enjoy all sorts of sports (biking, hiking, kite and windsurfing... am interested in surfing!) and teach yoga/pilates and gym classes in my free time. Besides I enjoy playing the guitar, singing, cooking and meeting new people. Here in Switzerland I'm a moderator for language evenings at the local pub, for people who want to learn German or English. If you think I could be a good fit for your flat I'd be happy to get in touch!
Hi there, I am a 27 year old scientist working in an office on the north shore. My passions are music, animal conservation, doggos and health and fitness. I love being active and outdoorsy but also love chilling and watching some television. I am very respectable of space and privacy and enjoy living in a clean house. Although I am not nit-picky about cleanliness. Looking to live with some like minded people who don’t mind hanging out here and there but also understand personal space.
We clean up after ourselves and have respect for other people’s privacy and space! Ben is a qualified musician and I’m a student of the Psychological Sciences so there’s definitely potential for some interesting conversations. We’re looking for more long-term stay as well as a room big enough for Ben’s music equipment. Pets are always a bonus for sure! We’re not much of the rowdy/party people type so a calm and chill place is preferred. We are currently both working as baristas under a cafe branch that’s very popular in America (can you take a guess?) ;) We’re chill, friendly and open minded individuals whose fun activity time consists of staying in, watching movies, music music music, and snacking (discreetly in the depths of the night...) :D
Heey ! i'm Charlie, a Venezuelan / American that landed in Sydney after finishing my Business degree back home to work, make some money and travel. I love sports such as Football, surf, motocross, rock climbing, pretty much everything outdoor related and drinking a few beers after a long day. I love to cook ( make a killer Bolognese Pasta ), like to keep my things organized and am pretty chill to live with. Right now i have 3 jobs so i am working most of the time and don't have a lot of time to party, but don't mind going for a drink every time i can.
Hi, I'm Pridhvi. I've been living in Sydney for over 6 months now. I've come here on a work visa from India and I'm working full time for an analytics firm in CBD. A bit about myself: I'm a very laid back person, respectful of boundaries but always up for a chat/drink or two. I'm quite athletic if I say so myself, up for most physical activities. I play/watch football (the English kind), table tennis and a bit of the cricket. I'll be working from 9-7 Monday-Fridays and will be free on the weekends and generally explore Sydney and surrounding areas. When I'm not at work, you'll likely find me binging on TV shows/movies etc. I'm quite knowledgeable in all kinds of films and always up for taking/giving suggestions. I keep myself/surroundings tidy and am quite ready to share household chores. I'm looking for a private room in a share house preferably starting from around early August.
Hi there! Looking for a place for me and my cousin. We're from Pakistan. I'm a software engineer and he's an MBBS doctor. We're both starting at UNSW in our respective programs from this July. We're both clean and fun people to live with. We would ideally be living together in a room or a separate unit, but we're open to teaming up too. My hobbies include reading, going out on road trips and gaming. ( I have a PS4 too.)
Hey everyone, I'm Brian and I'm the United States (southern California). I just finished up my second year at UCLA and I'm comin to Sydney for a semester while I study at UNSW. I'm 28 y.o from Melbourne. I'll be moving to Sydney mid-August to mid-December for work in theatre wardrobe so I will be working mostly afternoon/late night shifts and the occasional matinee. I love animals, especially cats and dogs. I am quiet, tidy, bit of a clean freak and will mostly keep to myself to recharge but don't mind the occasional social outing. Outside of work, I love cooking/baking, playing video games, watching movies/TV shows or exploring the surrounding areas and beaches. There will be days where I'll be the "elusive roommate" due to my work schedule. I'm after a fully furnished private room, rent $200-230 max (bills included) and not too far away from the Entertainment Quarter.
Hi, my name is Elise. I am French and I am currently doing a master at UNSW, so I am looking for accommodation for next semester! I would love to socialize with my housemates and get to know each other! I like to swim, to cook, to spend time with friends and going around Sydney during the week-ends. I am clean and tidy and I enjoy down time as well. I look forward to hearing from you! Thanks.
Hey guys, I am a Brazilian with 30 years studying, working and enjoying the life in Sydney. I look for a place to call home and share it with other people. I enjoy playing instruments with friends, expressing myself through dance, watching to movies and having occasional wines and beers... I am also interested in forming team ups with other people to rent a full house. Much love, Laura
