I'm a 31-year-old Palestinian doctor heading to Naarm/Melbourne for a job at the Northern Hospital. I grew up in Qatar and studied in Los Angeles and Canberra. I've been living and sweating in Darwin for the last 5 years; so I'm definitely not ready for Naarm's cold!!!
I'm pretty laid-back, but I do care about keeping my space clean and comfortable. If you're the type who lets dishes "soak" until they culture a zoo or doesn’t clean up small spills in the kitchen, we're not a good fit. I don't expect spotless perfection from my flatmates, just people who pull their weight and respect the shared space.
I love being friends/friendly with the people I live with… Grab dinner together sometimes, yap about life, help each other out when life gets hectic, etc. I’m not looking for a random stranger I just co-exist with.
Outside of work, I enjoy brunching, going to the gym (only to look hot, not for health), gardening (read: keeping too many plants alive), watching documentaries, gossiping, and making the place I live in feel warm and lived-in. Think plants, smart bulbs, nice décor, and the occasional dissociative scroll session on the couch after a long day.
If you want proof I'm not a serial killer (or you just want to do a quick stalk), hit me up for my socials.
What I'm looking for
Ideally somewhere around Epping, Lalor, Thomastown, Reservoir, or Preston — but I'm open to Coburg, South Morang, Mill Park, or Bundoora too.
Looking to live with 1–2 people who are kind, tidy, and considerate. People who properly communicate instead of leaving passive-aggressive notes on the fridge.
Would love a bigger space with my own bathroom. Ensuite would be the dream, but not a dealbreaker. Own bathroom definitely is though.
