Hello All ! 😄
I’m currently looking for either:
1. A room in an apartment, or
2. Someone to team up with and lease a place together
Preferred areas:
North Sydney, Crows Nest, St Leonards, Wollstonecraft, Waverton, basically anywhere with easy access to trains/metro and shops.
Option 1: Room / Subrental
- Long-term preferred
- Bedroom with own bathroom
- Budget: up to $500/week including bills
- I don’t have a car but occasionally for my work car I may need access to visitor parking or unrestricted street parking (if available)
Option 2: Team-up & Lease Together
- Long-term
- Ideally a 2 bed / 2 bath setup (privacy = happiness) 😄
- Budget around $1000/week total-ish but flexible depending on the place and setup
- Happy to discuss options and split costs reasonably
- Again, no car but occasional parking is needed
About me:
Male, late 30s, working full-time in the city.
I live a fairly quiet lifestyle and I’m not home too often during the week so I appreciate a clean, relaxed and respectful home environment after work...
Easygoing, social and always up for a chat and jokes or the occasional beer/drink/dinner.
At the same time, I respect people’s space and privacy, everyone should feel comfortable at home.
Why am I moving?
Well… after nearly 6 years in my current 2 bed / 2 bath apartment, the place got sold and the new owner would like it vacant in 30 days. So now I participate in Sydney’s favourite extreme sport.... rental inspections 😅
After nearly two weeks of inspections, I’ve realised some apartments out there are slightly terrifying in various ways...
So I thought I would expand the network here and hopefully find something better.
Props/Cons:
Since the lease was under my name, I already have enough furniture and appliances to fully furnish a 2 bed / 2 bath apartment:
- Beds (got for myslef, for the second room I've got only a queen bed frame so the mattress need to be organised)
- Sofa for living room
- 2 x fridges (everyone gets own)
- Dining table
- TV and TV unit (personally I'm not watching at all)
- Kitchen appliances and cutlery and plates
- Microwave
- Nearly new washing machine (with wi-fi.... why??)
- Enough forks to survive a "small apocalypse"
Ideally, I’d love to keep the same setup which I’ve enjoyed for the last few years, a comfortable 2 bed / 2 bath arrangement where everyone has their own space, privacy and sanity.
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, feel free to message me here or on my mobile (probably quicker).
And yes the profile picture is authentic, no AI involved.
It was taken back when I was still living around Coogee, where I somehow collected quite a few lorikeet friends along the way! 😄
