Matteo

Hi there! My name is Matteo and I am an Italian researcher in theoretical physics. After completing my Ph.D. in Trieste, Italy, I am now moving to Melbourne to start a full-time postdoctoral research fellow position at Monash University. I am already familiar with the city, where I spent three months at the end of last year, and I am very much looking forward to coming back for a longer period!
I am an easy going and friendly guy and I consider myself an experienced flatmate since I have been sharing houses for 9 years. I am clean and tidy, I love chatting and socialize, but I also enjoy some time for myself.
I love playing sports, especially running (I run marathons), hiking and cycling. When I am not sweating outside, I usually spend my free time reading (especially detective stories), listening to podcasts and watching movies.
I'm definitely a foodie who loves trying new recipes from different cuisines. I'm always down for brekky or brunch, the important thing is that there's coffee!
