🏡 TL;DR
Couple looking for a flatmate or couple to team up with to find and rent a 2-bedroom apartment together around Mt Gravatt, South Bank, Salisbury, or Coopers Plains from late July 2026.
Hi there,
My partner and I are planning to move out of our current share house when our lease ends in July 2026. Our goal is to rent a comfortable, cosy two-bedroom apartment for occupy for about 3 to 5ish years. But with the cost of living, we’re hoping to find one extra person (or a couple) to share with. If you’re already renting an apartment and have room for two more, even better! 😊
If you value cleanliness, respect, and a good balance between privacy and socialising, we’d love to connect, get to know each other in person, and plan ahead for a relaxed and comfy home if we’re a good fit.
About Us
• We’re a couple who get along well — you won’t be overhearing any arguments, just a mix of silly and deep conversations.
• We both have ADHD (and my partner is also autistic), so we’d love to live with someone neurodivergent or ND-friendly who’s open-minded and kind.
• We occasionally have friends over for casual hangs and we’re happy for you to do the same. However, we’re not too keen on big gatherings unless discussed in advance.
• We love board games.
• I smoke cigarettes (outdoors) and we both vape in our rooms, or in the shared space if you’re comfortable with that.
Me (Kim, 23):
• QLD born and raised.
• Works a 9-to-5 corporate.
• Go to the gym a few early mornings a week, so I’m rarely home on weekdays.
• Mostly a homebody outside of work. I guitar and sing occasionally so don’t mind me having a jam on occasion.
My partner (Kam, 21):
• International student at Griffith Uni (Bachelor of Science).
• Income: A really good trust fund.
• Often studies at home and goes to uni classes here and there.
• Loves baking, cooking, and gardening, and values a clean kitchen, sharing her baked treats, and having an outdoor space for her little veggie plants and herbs.
About You
• Generally nice to be around and chat with, but also doesn’t mind respecting privacy and personal space.
• Clean and tidy — willing to share household responsibilities fairly.
• No need to be balling but able to show reliable income and pay rent and bills on time.
• Communicates healthily and openly about shared spaces and finances.
• Neurodivergent and disability-friendly.
• Open to rejection — if you sense incompatibility between us as flatmates, let us know and we’ll part ways peacefully. We expect the same respect in return if we feel it’s not the right fit.
If this sounds like your vibe, send us a message!
Or if your availability for moving doesn’t align with ours but you’re keen, ask me for my number and hold onto it should your plans eventually change to align.
We’d love to chat early so we can get to know you (or you as a couple) and see if we’d make a good fit before starting the apartment hunt next year.
