Hi! I’m Matt — a journalist returning from 10 years abroad and looking to get settled in Brisbane. I’m an active type and I try to get to the gym most days. I love yoga, sport, music and a good podcast. I enjoy cooking and the odd culinary adventure, but I'm not the type to fill up the fridge with ingredients (usually I'll just head to the shops on the way home).

As a housemate, I'm tidy and respectful. It’d be nice to share the odd meal and/or drink. Love a good conversation and a laugh. I'm open to living with guys or girls. I have a car — happy to park it on the street — but otherwise I'm starting anew, so I’m open to a furnished place. I’m also open to living just about anywhere in Brissy.

I'm currently unemployed, but I'll be able to pay rent (please don't hold the job status against me!) I'm looking to get back into the news industry or a find a job in digital media / product management / leadership. Ideally, I'd love to find a place for a couple months while I get settled. I'm not in a position to sign onto a lease for an extended period of time.

Worked in media in NYC for 8 years — covered three U.S. elections, among a lot of other things!
Just did my 200hr yoga teaching cert in Bali! Looking to join an Ashtanga studio in Brissy.
Enjoy cooking curry, asian salads, pasta. Make a mean margarita and dirty martini.
Follow the premier league and F1 closely. Played cricket at a decent level back in the day.
Play guitar (electric) and I'm keen on jamming / starting a heavy metal band once I get settled (not at home!)
Member of Function Well in Newstead. Lots of yoga and pilates + a sauna and plunge pools. It's a great gym!
