After years of wanting to make the move to the Gold Coast (but always ending up back in Brisbane), I have finally sold my house and am doing it!
I'm a mortgage broker by trade who also does talent work on the side, so my days are a mix of client calls, admin work, and occasionally being in front of a camera. I work from home or local cafes, which means I'm around but not always, and I know how to keep noise to a minimum when it counts.
This move is genuinely about starting fresh and doing things I've been putting off; living by the beach, horse riding, acting workshops, dance classes, picking up a new language. I'm keen to build a bit more of a social life with the move but I'm not a huge party/drinker. Just getting out of the house more often would be a great start (LOL).
I'm the housemate who's happy to chat over a coffee or cocktail but also respects everyones needs, and wants their own space (as do I). I like to keep my home a recharge zone. It's cliche but I'm clean and tidy (I can't function otherwise LOL) and super easy to communicate with. I like home to be chill so we give and take, not needing a roster to get things done.
Ideally looking for a granny flat/seperate living situation but am open to living with someone in the same space if aligned, with own bathroom. I also have a car so some form of parking would be ideal and being as close to the beach as possible without being in the hub of it all, am open to suburbs. Furnished is also preferred but can work with either or.
Am looking to start with 3 months to get a feel for things down there before committing any further but will stay longer (6–12 months) if it's a great fit. Just looking for somewhere I can settle in and love where I live :).
