I’m into politics and staying on top of events, but I also love chilling at home, doing creative projects, exploring new ideas, learning, and connecting with people I care about and the community. I enjoy anything that sparks thought, laughter, or inspiration, and I bring that energy into the home by keeping it comfortable, welcoming, and a little playful. I deal with setbacks my way, keeping focused on getting things done and keeping the energy good around me.
I’m currently in a transitional phase of career change and will be starting the STEPS program online at CQU in early 2026. I’ve recently vacated a private rental in Yeppoon that wasn’t financially feasible as a sole tenant, and I’m looking for a place in the same region to maintain political visibility and fulfill my commitments as an office-holder.
I take responsibilities seriously, from volunteering to political work, but I also know how to have fun, add a spark of mischief, and make a shared space feel lively, friendly, and easygoing. I like a home where people respect each other’s space while still being open to connection, and I enjoy creating an environment that is both structured and fun.
I’m a smoker but happy to step outside or adjust if needed. I like winding down with a glass of wine, reading literature, politics, or history, and I value a social rhythm, catching up, checking in, or just having a laugh together. I enjoy a home that feels comfortable and connected without being chaotic, with a mix of shared interaction and personal space.
I’m currently receiving Centrelink support, which provides a stable income, so bond and rent are not an issue until I get settled.
If that works for you, please reach out to arrange a time to inspect the room. Please let me know what would be convenient.
Thanks,
Mikaela W
