Hello! I'm Catherine, a 33 year old Art Teacher, passionate about making the world better every day however I can. I am from Canberra but have been in Melbourne since 2019. I work full time, and love my work, as well as playing games, exploring festivals, telling dad jokes, spotting cool things in nature, and the list goes on. I like many things! And I'd love to share my spark with you as my next housemate.
Why I'm moving: I've lived alone for almost 2 years, and sadly my landlord wants to move back in by April. It's also starting to get a bit lonely, so I'm putting out feelers for a small sharing situation again!
The housemates I seek: I'm seeking people who are left-leaning and value the environment, inclusion, community, collaboration, integrity, authenticity, and consideration through words and actions.
Background: I've shared since 2011 so have plenty of experience. I love to keep a clean and tidy space, and communicate well with housemates to establish positive expectations and structures to run the house and get along well. When it doesn't go well, I like to combine forces to troubleshoot and create a workable revised approach!
As a housemate, I love to socialise a bit each day but need my solid down time too. I'm keen to cook and share things and watch stuff together; keeping in mind and communicating our own preferences for that.
I've helped curate some awesome dinners and parties in places I've shared, and don't mind them occasionally, though I'd prefer to live somewhere chill & calm /quiet for the most part.
Ideally I'd live with others working FT/ close to FT so our routines align a bit, to make all the above simpler.
However, open to negotiation and keen to meet new and interesting people; so let's chat!
