Alain Saunier

Hi!
I'm Alain, a retired chef from France and I'll come to Melbourne to be closer to my daughter who's expecting her first child, I'm about to become a grandfather for the fourth time!

This is my third time in Australia and I've always loved Melbourne. I'm a traveller at heart and have spent time living and exploring Mexico, Guatemala and India, where I trained as an Ayurvedic massage therapist.

I enjoy a quiet lifestyle: you'll find me at the gym, swimming at the beach, pottering around in the garden, or simply enjoying some peaceful downtime. I'm easy-going, respectful, tidy (years in professional kitchens will do that!), and very independent - I like to do my own thing and won't be in your way.

I'm also very comfortable with shared living, back in Montpellier, I rented out rooms in my home to international students for years, and when I'm in India, I welcome French retirees and help organise their stays. So I know how to share a space respectfully and get along with all kinds of people!

I'll be spending most of my time at my daughter's place helping out with the new baby, so I'm looking for a cosy and calm space where I can come back to rest and recharge. A friendly household with relaxed vibes would be perfect and if there's a garden that needs some love, even better!
