Hey lovely people, I’m Michael, he/him, 29.

I’m moving over from Adelaide to Melbourne in August for a new job in the union movement and would love to find a friendly, left/progressive share house to call home. I’m open to joining an existing home or teaming up with the right people to start something new.

I’ll have some temporary accommodation when I first arrive, so I can be a bit flexible for the right fit, but I’m hoping to find somewhere longer-term from August/Early September.

Budget: up to $400 per week
Areas: ideally inner north, inner west or inner east
Work: full-time, mostly out of the house, with occasional work-from-home days
Looking for: a pet-friendly home, ideally with warm, considerate and communicative people

A bit about me: I’m easygoing, tidy, respectful and very share house trained. I’ve lived in share houses for most of my adult life and am reliable with rent, bills, cleaning and general house communication.

I’m social and enjoy a chat in the kitchen, a shared dinner, coffee, a pub trip or a house hang, but I also really value downtime and respect people’s space. I’m into politics, reading, soccer, coffee, catching up with friends and exploring new neighbourhoods. I’m politically left and would love to live with people who have broadly similar values.

I’ll also be moving with my two cats, Jolyne and Jellybean. They’re a big part of my life, so I’m looking for somewhere they’ll be welcome too.

I’m hoping to find a home rather than just a room. Somewhere relaxed and welcoming, where people care about the space, communicate well, and want to create a nice living environment together.
