Jose Arnel

Hi! I'm Jose, an incoming PhD research student moving from the Philippines to Brisbane in early October 2026 (1st of Oct to be exact) at UQ. My research/finances are completely secured, and I’m looking for a peaceful home to settle into. Ideally, I'm looking for an initial 2-3 month stay, with the view to extend long-term if we’re a great fit.

Outside of my research, I'm clean, relatively quiet, and very respectful of shared spaces. I always clean up after myself. I'm always down for a casual coffee/tea and a chat, but I also completely respect everyone's need for downtime.

I'm really looking forward to experiencing Brisbane and Queensland (in general) while I'm here, so I'm keen on city walks, runs, and exploring hiking trails on weekends, and some food crawl.

I'd love to find a great place to stay and hopefully make a few new friends along the way. (And I have absolutely no problems with pets, too)
