I’m Darren, an 18-year-old from Ireland heading to Brisbane in September on a Working Holiday Visa. I’m taking a gap year before starting a Commerce degree at UCD in 2027, and I’m planning to work in hospitality and hopefully get some horse/farm work while I’m over.

I’m fairly social and always up for going for a few drinks, exploring the city or doing something with the house, but I also enjoy having some downtime. I’m really into hurling, music (especially Zach Bryan), concerts, going to the cinema and swimming.

I’m looking for a friendly house where everyone is respectful of each other and the house is kept clean, but where people actually get along and hang out together rather than just sharing a kitchen. I’m easy-going, tidy and happy to do my share around the house.

I’m initially looking for somewhere for around 2 months, but I’m open to seeing how things go once I’m in Brisbane.
