It is 6-8minutes walk to the West End ferry/bus stop and there are two bus stops (bus 198) close by, one adjacent to the unit and the other at the end of the street. If you're getting to UQ, it's not that far since it's just across the river and around 15 minutes by ferry or you can walk about 4 minutes to take the bus 192 from Dornoch Terrace (straight to UQ Lakes). Or you can take the 192 bus straight into the city as well. There's a park (Paradise Park) adjacent to the unit with a playground / bbq/ bus stop; the area is mostly quiet and as we are at the edge of the river, the weather is pretty cool with the wind :) and keeps the cool in the summer pretty well. However this unit is in front so unfortunately we are not overlooking the river.
This house is great for anyone looking for a cheap place to stay in a convenient location. It is only 20 minutes walking to UQ and it takes the same time to get to South Brisbane (right before the city). The house is also well connected with the buses so it's easy to travel anywhere quickly. Everyone here is nice and does their own thing. This is a modern student apartment filled with students from all over the world. Weekly activities hosted in the student apartment are always a great choice to socialise and meet new people. The en-suite room that I stay in is on a high level, with a nice view of the nearby streets from the kitchen. The student accommodation has a free gym, cinema room, study rooms, gaming area and a courtyard. Air-conditioning is provided and the kitchen has most of the equipments that you will need. It is close to a supermarkets for instance Wooly's or if willing to travel, Queen street mall 2 bus stops away is the best place for shopping and running errands. During weekends I recommend walking along the river, to the Streets Beach and of course explore the Botanic Gardens. Furthermore it is less than 1 minute away from the nearest bus stop that can have buses stopping at universities such as UQ(10min by bus) or to town.

I have a place at Southbank on the Park in Brisbane City. I have a temporary 1 week available from Monday 19th March till Tuesday the 23rd March for $120 for the week for my room while on work away trip, has ensuite and walk in room. Over all I have 3 living arrangements available. First is a temporary bed in the living room which is available if you need somewhere short term available from 30th April for $120 per week, with additional dates available. The second spot is, As I work away alot for work, I have also rented my room out with ensuite and then having the living room bed when Im in Brisbane, this spot is available for permanent position from 30th April as currently taken, at $120 per week. The third spot is for the second room which is currently taken till the 1st October. Im also looking at splitting that room into a, two share room, from that date if that works better.
