About the flatmates

Hello there,

My name is Meg, I'm 36 and I live with my sister Hayley who is 35. We both were born and raised in Brisvegas (Brisbane). I work as a Graduate Ecologist & Support Worker & Hayley works as an Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Educator. We both are well balanced gals who love their work, keeping healthy and fit at the gym, eating well (of course we splurge like every other human and get some dirty bird (KFC) or have some Mac n Cheese etc..., we aren't perfect lol), and going on adventures within the great outdoors whether its beach, bay or rainforests within national parks.

We live life to the fullest in many ways like attending live performance events/shows, wildlife parks, environment and community fairs and travelling. We enjoy spending time with our close friends and family in any of these environments. During our work week when we get home in the evenings we either like to wind down with a walk to the local park or cafe/grocer, have quick catch up over dinner, watch a TV episode or 2, listen to some quiet music and just enjoy the peace in this beautiful house which is situated on a lovely quiet street. The loudest thing you will hear are some bird calls at dusk and dawn. We have a lot of outdoor and indoor spaces to chill out in, so you will find privacy in this home which you will see in the photos provided.

We are both friendly, respectful, considerate, clean & tidy people who value good communication and honesty. So, we are looking for a housemate who has the same values. Sorry peeps, this is not a party house, however if you want to have people over for dinner or a gathering, we just have to be considerate and ask the other housemates if that works for them also. We are looking for a 35 plus woman who works or studies full-time. Someone who is just looking to be a housemate and likes their privacy like us. We are not looking for a friend, however if it happens it happens... lol.

We have three beautiful Russian Blue Ragdoll cats named Finn, Charlie and Frankie and a sweet, sassy and loyal little dachshund named Stella. So, if you love animals you will fit in well here.

We prefer someone who has had a recent police check completed for their work or who is willing to do one before moving in (due to past experience with housemates who were dishonest about their current situations with the law). We are willing to pay the fee for the National Police Certificate if you don't have one. We don't need to know your past, just know that you are not going to put us at risk.
A proper screening will be completed by myself at a time that suits all. In the screening we will ask a few simple questions about yourself and need to view such documents as: most recent payslips (2 weeks' worth), most recent bank statement (for income/savings), 1 personal reference from a previous housemate or landlord or parent, plus photo ID.

Thank you for taking the time to read our advertisement and we look forward to meeting you. Have a blessed day/night.

Meg.
