Hi everyone! My friend Jackson and I are looking for a housemate to move into our lovely East Brisbane home, available now!
The room
- $300 per week - all utilities (unlimited energy, gas, and wifi) included
- $1300 bond
- The room has a ceiling fan, cute blue accent wall, desk nook, wooden floorboards, shelving, a BIR and a second cupboard (option for real estate to move this out). Could fit a queen bed and desk.
- Dimensions are roughly 3.2x3.3
- The central AC flows nicely into the room, and because of unlimited electricity the house is often nice and cool!
The house
- Beautiful Queenslander located in East Brisbane with cute coffee shops a short walk away.
- Short bus or bike ride to UQ and PA hospital. The bus stop is opposite the house so it is very easy to get to the woolloongabba terminal, otherwise it is only a 15 minute walk there.
- Ceiling fans in all rooms and AC in the living space.
- Modern kitchen with a kitchen island, brand new 5 burner gas stove, modern oven, filtered water tap, a coffee nook, plus laundry with a washing machine.
- Huge well kept backyard with an outdoor deck and dining space, perfect for having a wine or dinner. We also have a fruit producing mango tree!
- Living space has a beautiful built in bookcase/tv unit, and is furnished with couches, a TV and a coffee table.
- Tons of shared storage throughout the house
- Lock up Garage & parking on property. Otherwise street parking is available around the house.
- We’ve just moved in, so open for any furniture or items you want to contribute to the house 🙂
You’ll be living with the two of us, plus my pretty cat Hihou. We are LGBTQI+ friendly.

About the flatmates
Myself [Alex] (25, M) - I’m a second year med student at UQ originally from Melbourne. I’m often quite busy studying but when I find time off I like to go climbing, hiking or trying out new places to eat, drink and hear live music. I like a housemate that enjoys the occasional film, TV show or record listening. I do often cook for myself during the week but I love the odd shared meal and dinner party.
Jackson (24, M) - Hi! I’m a first-year med student at UQ and have just moved up from Melbourne. Uni will keep me pretty busy during the week, but outside of study I like to stay active and social. I’m big into climbing/bouldering, playing soccer, cycling, and getting to the beach for a swim or surf when I can. I also love checking out new places to eat, grabbing a drink at a good pub or bar, and trying out Brisbane’s food scene. I’m keen on a friendly, social house somewhere people are happy to chat, watch a movie, share the odd meal, or head out together, while still being respectful of study time and downtime.
Hihou (3, cat) - my gorgeous medium haired torby. She’s a super sweet and chill cat, however can be a bit shy sometimes. She loves the occasional string chase and cuddle. She is an indoor cat so doors need to be closed. Unfortunately she doesn't take super well to other animals so won’t be able to accept another pet :((.
