ABOUT THE HOUSE
Great location in Woolloongabba, central to everything, close to multiple buses and Buranda train station.
5 minute walk to South/city shopping complex.
15 minute walk to PA hospital/Buranda shops/Sam Cocos (24 hour supermarket).
Ceiling fans in all bedrooms and living spaces. There's a portable air-con in the rumpus room too.
5 bedroom house (two used partly as storage spaces currently), 1 bathroom with shower over bath, plus second toilet.
Two covered outdoor areas and a small fully fenced yard, with garden beds to grow veggies if you are inclined.
House is mostly fully furnished (other than your bedroom), so would suit someone without lots of furniture. (Bonus points if you come with a fridge!).
Limited external storage (not fully weather proof).
Unlimited on street parking - no permit required.
The household is pretty quiet and not a party household, though we do have friends over occasionally. We are an environmentally conscious household.
Pets/dogs welcome on application/approval by owner (strictly no cats sorry - severe allergies).
THE ROOM
There’s a couple of room options to choose from, one with carpet, two without but with built in robes. Bedrooms come unfurnished, though some furniture may be possible. All room options are $160-180/week.
You will be signing onto the lease and bond (4 weeks rent). We are part way through a two year lease, with a small rent increase happening in August 2025. Incoming person can sign on for 6 months (late August 2025) or 18 months (August 2026).
Bills: Internet $26/month, gas approx $25-30/month each, electricity approx $25-35/month each, water only charged if we go over usage limit.
(Note: if you need to move before Feb 24th, there is the option to move into one of the spare rooms for the right perosn).
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for someone that treats the house as a home, is clean, friendly, and compatible. Contributes their share to household chores and the yard, pays their bills on time, and communicates well.
Happy to be social and share the odd meal/drink/chat, but also respects each others space.
Best suited to someone who is in their 30s (but open to other ages), mature, responsible, and isn’t WFH/home much in the day. Non-smoker or drugs.
LGBTIQA+ friendly.
Bonus points if you have a doggo!
