I’m renting an apartment for my mother and we’re looking for a female housemate to take the second room in a 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartment in Balaclava.

📍Location:
Quiet street, ~5 minutes’ walk to Ripponlea Station, trams nearby. Close to shops, cafes, gyms, yoga studios, parks and a botanical garden across the highway. St Kilda Beach ~40 mins walk or a short tram ride.

🏡The apartment:
Fully furnished apartment - bring your own bed and room furniture that you like. Bedroom has built-in robe and Kmart tallboy for you to use.

Shared space includes internet, washing machine, dryer, air conditioning, gas heating, lounge, dining table with chairs, book shelf and kitchen appliances (fridge, coffee machine, air fryer, microwave, dishwasher + pots, pans etc).

💁🏻‍♀️Household:
You’ll be sharing with my mother (63), originally from Ukraine, working full-time. She mostly keeps to herself. English is limited but she’s open to light interaction.

🤝Arrangement:
Landlord approved second occupant. Simple written housemate agreement provided.
• 2 weeks rent paid upfront
• 2 weeks notice required
• Minimum stay: 6 months

🙋‍♀️Looking for:
Mature female or female student.
Clean, tidy, respectful, reliable, with stable income.

🛑Strictly no pets, no smoking, no parties, and no children.

💲Rent:
$300/week + bills split evenly (gas, electricity, internet). Water included.
