We have a room available in our lovely home on Oxford Street, amazing location between Fitzroy and Collingwood. We’re just 1 minute from the cafes and bars of Smith Street and about 12 minutes’ walk from Brunswick Street. Coles is just 20 seconds away and you can get tram 86 in like 1 minute walk.
About the house:
The apartment is in a reconditioned old wool warehouse, full of character from Collingwood’s working-class past. It features very high ceilings and beautiful exposed beams, which gives the space a warm and spacious vibe.
It’s a two-bedroom apartment with a large open living and kitchen area. The bedroom window faces the internal corridor of the building, which is open tothe outside. There is some natural light, but it’s a quieter, low-light room. Nonetheless, the comon areas are very bright with three large windows in north-west orientation. This brings lots of natural light, especially in the afternoon. Best thing is to come and have a look :).

Your future housemates: You will be living with us. We are Celia and Álvaro, a (kind of) young couple from Spain that just moved to Melbourne.
Celia (27yo f): studied Psychology and now going into the education world. Looking for work at the moment. She’s a fun extrovert but understands the value of personal space. Likes chess, inclined to the arts world but would like to retake that aspect, food, and going out from time to time. Currently looking for books in Spanish, so if you know where to, let me know ;)
Álvaro (31yo m): Mathematician working at Monash University as a full time researcher. More on the introvert side but very friendly once he gets to know you! Likes bouldering and going on hikes, playing chess, anime and a good beer.
We enjoy doing some life together in the flat such as preparing nice meals, going out for a drink, and going on trips to explore the country. If you like chess, bonus points!
Who you are
We are looking for someone in their late twenties or older. Chill, open minded, feminist, LGTB+ friendly, Palestine supporter. Basically, a decent human being. Willing to go into the contract and join our home soon. We do want someone with a good sense of hygiene, so if you think you're not quite there, let's save us all some valuable time! Once we have a candidate, we have to pass it to the landlord for their approval (should be easy). Unfortunately, Álvaro is allergic so no pets :(.
