THE VIBE ✨ After six years, one of our long-term housemates is moving on to her next adventure. We are looking for a friendly, considerate, and independent housemate to join our home. We really cherish our house as a low-key retreat where we can all reset and feel at ease. We value kindness, reliability, and the kind of open communication that keeps a home feeling peaceful and welcoming for everyone.

THE LOCATION 📍 We’re tucked away right on the border of Essendon and Brunswick West—perfectly placed for a bit of quiet while staying connected.
> Local Gems: Cafes (BAM and Mr Walker) are just a 1-2 minute stroll away for your morning brew or lunch needs.
> Getting Around: Only a 10-minute drive to Sydney Road; 5-min walk to the 59 tram; 2-min walk to bus stops.
> Shopping: Moonee Ponds Central is a quick 5-min drive (or a nice 20-min stroll).
> Nature: Surrounded by lush parks and the Moonee Ponds Creek trails.
> Accessibility: Please note the house is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.

THE SPECS 🛠️
> The Room: Huge unfurnished space with plenty of room for a queen bed, desk, and lounging area. High ceilings, wooden floorboards, an ornamental fireplace, and lovely natural morning light.
> The House: Ducted heating, split-system AC in the living room, gas cooking, dishwasher, washing machine (but no dryer, sorry!).
> Bills: Split evenly. We both have registered concessions, which helps keep costs reduced for everyone. Shared cost of house essentials such as TP & cleaning items.
> The Yard: Decent size and usually quite green n’ lush outside of biderap season! Monthly gardener included in rent.
> The Refresh: We’re currently refreshing the lounge room furniture due to the housemate reshuffle, so if you have any favourite pieces or (cat-friendly) plants to contribute, we’d love the help making the space feel more…lounge-y!
> Parking: Plenty of free street parking right out front.

WHO ARE YOU?
> The Basics: A reliable, house-proud person in their late 20s or 30s who is stable with rent/bills, and has experience with sharehousing/renting.
> The Routine: Someone with their own established rhythm.
> The Home Care: Commitment to a shared cleaning roster to keep our home looking and feeling cared for. We take turns being responsible for home maintenance, e.g., dishwasher deep clean/organising repairs/etc.
> Inclusion: Folks who identify as women, non-binary, trans, or gender diverse are prioritised (we're not just looking for women, Flatmates had binary gender options to choose from). Neurodivergent folks will also fit in seamlessly here.
> Strictly no bigots (TERFs, SWERFs, or Zionists)!!

THE FINE PRINT
> No more pets, sorry! We are at capacity with our two cats.
> No couples.
> No smoking (vaping outside is fine).
> Not 420 friendly.
> No cis men.

INTERESTED? We’d love to hear from you! Send us a message with a bit about you, your routine, and why you think you’d be a good fit! We can't wait to meet you 🤠.

About the flatmates

THE HOUSEMATES 🤝
~ Aspen (they/them): 29, non-binary, and proudly disabled (AuDHD/POTS/etc/etc).
> Out & About: I’m no longer in the workforce, but I stay pretty busy with appointments, errands, and studying urban agriculture at CERES. When I’m not at a yoga class, or feeling weirdly competitive browsing at op shops, I’m likely neck deep in my latest hyperfixation (currently: hockey, comma, gay - IYKYK)
> At Home: I’m a very tidy person and find that a clean, predictable environment is essential for managing my limited/fluctuating capacity. I really appreciate living with people who have solid routines so we can use our shared spaces effectively! I also value a low-sensory sanctuary where we can all truly reset. While I’m often found pottering in the garden or recharging in my room with the cats, I’m always up for a spontaneous yarn! Bonus points for vegan/eco-conscious folks.

~ Kate (she/her/bro): 37, in my last semester at RMIT doing postgrad in Community Services. Weekdays I’m usually at class or doing life admin errands around home. I work weekday evenings for a social sport company so I’m out of the house a lot, but it’s worth it to me so I keep weekends for fun, doing stuff with friends, going on adventures, or chilling at home to rest and recharge. I love a spontaneous yap in the kitchen and thrive when the house culture is friendly, cooperative, and respectful of each other’s independent lives.

HONEY & MOUSE 🐈 Must love cats! You’ll be sharing your home with goofy & cuddly Honey, and the shy & sweet prince Mouse. They are strictly indoor cats, so commitment to keeping them safe is essential. Honey is the social butterfly of the house, so be prepared to have a new furry shadow! Note: Honey is a passionate plant-muncher, so toxic plant owners beware!
