About the property

The house is on Hyton Crescent in Kew, right by Studley Park, so you’ve got beautiful green space practically on your doorstep. It’s a great balance of nature and convenience — there’s easy access to public transport into Carlton, the CBD, and the nearby train station, and Richmond is close enough to walk to. It’s a quiet, leafy pocket that feels removed from the rush, while still being incredibly well connected.

The home itself is a charming Art Deco brick house with plenty of character. It has solid timber floorboards, high ceilings, and generously sized rooms that make it feel light and spacious. It’s spread across two storeys, which gives a nice sense of separation between living and sleeping areas.

There’s a front and rear garden, so there’s always somewhere to sit outside or enjoy a bit of fresh air. Out the back, there’s also a separate shed set up as a home gym, which is a great bonus. Overall, it’s a warm, solid home in a genuinely peaceful neighbourhood — ideal if you’re after space, character, and a calm atmosphere close to everything.

About the flatmates

I’m an architect in my late 20s looking for a like-minded person to share a spacious two-bedroom duplex in Kew. I have a fairly busy schedule, so I really value a calm and peaceful home environment to unwind in at the end of the day.

I’m passionate about design, love cooking, and enjoy spending time outdoors. I like to keep the house tidy and well organised, and I appreciate a clean, thoughtfully arranged space. I prefer a minimal, clutter-free environment, so I’d be best suited to living with someone who feels the same way.

I’m ideally looking for someone in their 20s or 30s with a stable income, or a student with reliable financial support. Couples are welcome if you’re in a long-term, stable relationship — in that case, rent would be divided equally three ways.
