About the property
Hi, I’m Bec! I’m a 30 year old academic looking for someone to come and share my 2bed 2bath apartment.
The place:
- Private bedroom with large mirrored robe and lots of natural light
- My room has an ensuite so you will have the main bathroom to yourself (although it has a shared laundry in it)
- Location is unbeatable: right on the cusp of Thornbury and Preston with the 86 tram on our doorstep and Thornbury station a 5 minute walk away
- The place is super central to everything on the corner of Dundas and Plenty road. It’s a short walk or tram ride to limitless bars/shops/cafes on High street, and right next door to multiple supermarkets for extra convenience!
- The living area is furnished (minus a TV), but I’m happy to figure that out if there are things you want to swap in. Your room is unfurnished. We also have a small storage cage that I don’t have much in.
- And, best of all… you get the underground car spot!
- Rent is $1195 per month (not including bills) - Bond is $977
The other nitty gritty stuff I’m after:
- Non-smoker
- Someone who is a working in a stable job
- No pets
- No couples
- You are happy to sign on to the lease
Preferably looking for someone to move in around the end of February.

About me:
I’m 30, doing a mix of WFH and on campus lecturing at La Trobe Uni. I also teach online 1 night a week (I do this from my room).
I’m a really social person, and love to catch up with friends for dinner/drinks throughout the week. Would be totally fine with having friends around as long as we give each other a heads up! I’m looking for someone who has their own social life going on but is keen to share in each-others lives too, and would be happy to hang out in the evenings while still balancing that with alone time. Hoping for someone who is kind, mature and happy to communicate to make sure the vibes remain high in our humble home.
I’m a left-leaning person, trying to live in the most environmental and socially conscience way, so I’m looking for someone who shares the same general view.
