Great location set on the border of Thornbury/South Preston close to Thornbury Picture House, walking distance to 86 tram on High Street and Thornbury Station. Our home is a lovely light-filled three bedroom townhouse with choice of outdoor areas. The house is fully furnished with all the mod cons - you'll only need to furnish your bedroom.
The room for rent (pictured) is 3.4 x 3.0m. It has a spacious private ensuite, large windows, privacy and block out blinds, and a double robe.
We also have a green outdoor courtyard with sitting area, fruit trees, veggie beds/garden, and an upstairs balcony with views out to the yarra valley hills. There is a backyard area with clothes line, veggie bed and garage space which is my art studio - but it has room for bikes. Close to all the good cafes/restaurants/bars on High Street.

About the flatmates

You’ll be sharing with myself and Tara, both in our 40s. We're happy, healthy, politically left and keep a pretty busy and active lifestyle.

I work FT in education and the arts M-F. I like swimming, cycling, music festivals, live bands, raves, making stuff, galleries, gardening, history and politics. I might host the occasional dinner with friends, but tend to go out more than entertain. Tara works in health and is studying M-F. She enjoys dancing, yoga, escapes to nature/beach, natural therapies, and catching up with friends.

We are social housemates, experienced living with others and do it out of choice. We're looking for someone who is a good fit, not just a renter. You're a positive sunny sort, kind, friendly, no drama/relaxed, emotionally intelligent, social, and good for a chat. We don’t mind what you cook, or your floordrobe, but keeping the place clean and neat in the common spaces is a must. If this sounds good, then get in touch.

The other stuff: Bills are a flat $110 per month that includes unlimited Internet. Bond is looked after by the RTBA, lease is month by month, and there's always on-street parking out front on our quiet street.
