If you're getting to UQ, it's not that far since it's just across the river and around 15 minutes by ferry or you can walk about 4 minutes to take the bus 192 from Dornoch Terrace (straight to UQ Lakes). Or you can take the 192 bus straight into the city as well. There's a park (Paradise Park) adjacent to the unit with a playground / bbq/ bus stop; the area is mostly quiet and as we are at the edge of the river, the weather is pretty cool with the wind :) and keeps the cool in the summer pretty well. However this unit is in front so unfortunately we are not overlooking the river.
