About me

Hi! I’m Emma, from Singapore 🇸🇬

I’m currently taking a career break and using this time to pursue further studies and explore what I’d like to do next. I’ve been working in accounting for several years and am looking to continue my studies to broaden my career opportunities and work towards a better future.

At the moment, I’m pursuing a course, with exams coming up in December. Following that, I’m planning to apply for the Bachelor of Accounting at Victoria University for the 2027 intake with pre-admissions settled.

I’ve visited Melbourne a few times previously and really enjoyed my time there, so I thought this would be a good opportunity to spend 2–3 months actually living in Melbourne and experience the city beyond being a tourist before committing to a longer-term move for university.

I’m looking to move in around mid-September 2026 and am happy to commit to the full period of my stay. I have also planned my accommodation and living expenses in advance, so I’m looking for a straightforward short-term arrangement.

A little about me — I’m quite an introvert these days and generally enjoy having my own space. I like spending quiet evenings watching dramas, reading, cooking or just winding down. That said, I’m definitely happy to have a chat, grab a drink or occasionally hang out with housemates.

I’m also quite clean and tidy, especially with shared spaces. I’m the type who cleans up after myself and will happily do my part to keep the house comfortable for everyone.

I’m hoping to use my time in Melbourne to brush up on my cooking as well, so I’d love to try making some Asian dishes and hopefully share a meal with my housemates from time to time! 😊

I speak English and Mandarin comfortably and would love to meet some people while getting a feel for what it's like to actually live in Melbourne.

Move-in: Mid-September 2026
Stay: 2–3 months

I prefer to stay within CBD or city fringe as it will an area I am looking to stay during my uni days.

I’m looking for a friendly, respectful and relaxed household where everyone can have their own space but still get along.
