About me
Hi, I'm Jack. I'm a 24 year old teacher, fresh out of uni. I have lived in Sydney for most of my life save a brief stint abroad back when I was a kid.
As for who I am personally I'm a bit of a nerd, I love bored games (Of which I have amassed a collection) and video games, as well as all things history. I do enjoy going for walks and can't stay inside all day however. I can be a relatively social person at times, but I always prefer small groups of close friends to large parties. I have a small group of friends I've maintained since high school who I usually see each week on a Friday. And I'm currently trying to work my way through all of the major Australians cities, cause I've lived here almost all my life but I've never travelled beyond the Saphire coast!
My work hours are pretty standard, I usually leave between 7-7:30, and most days I stay at work until 5-6pm, and than spend an hour or 2 more working when I get back. I do get school holidays, but I'm slowly learning that school holidays aren't as freeing for teachers as they are for students!
In terms of living together, I'm overall a tidy person, and I always try to keep communal spaces extra tidy. I was raised as a kid to be as independent as possible (I was the oldest child) so I've been comfortable looking after myself ever since high school, be it from cooking, cleaning or doing the shopping. I also spent all of my childhood and teenage years (and most of my short adult years) wearing contacts every day, meaning I had to get used to keeping a high level of personal hygiene for myself (you don't want to drop your reusable contacts in a dirty sink). I am also an adequate cook, I am by no means a whiz but I can cook for myself or for a small group, and I know how to plan out food for a week.
I have no allergies or issues with pets, and I am looking for a place to stay for an extended period. As I am a first time renter (thats not my parents) I am not against trialing a place for 3+ months before committing to anything longer, and am generally flexible with most details.
