Couple Looking for Another Couple to House Hunt With 🏡
Hey everyone!
My boyfriend John (30) and I, Olivia (22), are looking for another couple to team up with and rent a house from the first week of September.
A bit about us — we’re both originally from England (Surrey/Berkshire), although I grew up in South Africa before moving to the UK. We’re currently living in Brisbane and will be moving down to Melbourne in September, so we’re hoping to find some like-minded people to share a place with.
John is a carpenter and spends most of his free time playing football or golf. I’ll be studying at Moorabbin Airport and will probably be working in a restaurant in the evenings.
We’re both pretty easy-going, tidy, and respectful housemates. We love getting outdoors, whether that’s hiking, exploring somewhere new, going to the beach, or heading off on a weekend adventure. We’re also gym-goers and massive food lovers — always keen to try a new restaurant, café, food market, or cook up something good at home.
We’re social without being party animals and would love to find another couple who enjoy a friendly household. Whether that’s sharing a drink, having a BBQ, watching a movie, or just chatting after work, we’re keen to live with people who are happy to be more than just strangers sharing a house.
We’re mainly looking around Melbourne’s south-east suburbs, not going past Elwood, particularly areas that would suit commuting to Moorabbin and work. Our combined budget the two couples for a property is around $800–$850 per week, depending on the place.
We don’t have much furniture with us apart from our bedroom furniture, so we’re pretty flexible when it comes to furnishing the common areas. We would ideally need at least one secure parking space or garage for John’s work vehicle and tools.
If you’re another couple looking for housemates, or interested in finding a place together, send us a message and tell us a bit about yourselves!
Cheers,
Olivia & John
