Hello,

I am a single 39 year old female who is looking for my first rental property. I have lived in my family home with my Mother & Uncle up until this point. As they are getting older & both soon to retire they have made big decisions regarding the future of our family home. During retirement they would like to pursue different things in life (travelling long term, voluneer work, relocating to a small property in a quiet south coastal town).

I am currently on the disability support pension which provides me with $1053 per fortnight. I study an Early Childhood Education and Care Course & receive a study supplement of $64 per fortnight.

In the past I was employed as a Professional Career Nanny & Early Childhood Educator. I worked in ths industry for over 15 years of my adult life. I was passionate about my work & I enjoyed everyday I had with the lovely children & families I had the opportunity to work with. I plan to return to this field of work in the future.

I receive support from my mother & God mother. They are eager for me to have my own rental property to increase my independence & responsibility & reducing my reliance on them as they age.

I am friendly, a non-smoker/non-drinker. I enjoy independent theatre company shows, musical theatre, ballet, contemporary dance, history, art, nature and pilates.

I am really looking forward to establishing my very first rental property! However, I am finding it difficult to secure a place due to not having previous rental history as I have lived in the family home for my whole life.

I can provide references from my former employers who can offer a comprehensive personal reference as due to the nature of the job, the circumstances are on a much more personal level, working in their personal homes with their family, pets & children. I worked closely for many years with the families (6 years, 3 years, 4 years). I was able to build incredibly strong relationships with all of my employers.

I recently completed an online certified course based on the processes required to find and secure a private rental property (rental application forms, bond loans), maintaining and caring for a rental property, personal conduct (hosting visitors, noise control, rules about having other people living in your property) & the requirements of ending a tenancy (leaving the property in the same condition it was).

I have cat whom I rescued after she was abandoned in a housing complex by her previous owner who was neglectful. She is a loving, sweet domestic female short-haired cat with Calico colouring. Vets estimate she is about 13 years old.
She is mostly sedary & not nimble like most cats (she cant jump up on furniture). She's content to have a safe, warm, dry place to live. Enjoying lots of food, love & a quiet, predictable environment. She is vaccinated, desexed, annual bloodtests, wormed monthly, groomed monthly & has regular health checks at the local vet.

My cat and I hope to have our own place to live soon.
