Amelia

Hello!

My name is Amelia (or Mills, whatever suits best). I am originally (and currently!) from Adelaide - I'm a 24 year old woman independently relocating interstate to Queensland as I have recently secured full-time employment south-west of Brisbane.
I am a qualified automotive spray painter by trade (yes, I can paint your car and I'm certain I will regret adding this later!) and will be commencing my new industrial spray painting role in Brisbane mid-February 2026. My listing here may seem premature, but I am aiming to secure a property and move by early-mid January 2026.

I will be out of the house with shift work on a rotational full-time roster but, when I'm not, I'm certain you'll find me exploring the nearest national park, soaking up the sun, working on my art or airbrushing, curled up with a book, twisted into a yoga pose or working on my car. I love cooking & baking for/with others, I reckon there's nothing better than some weekend gardening and I'm always planning my next road trip escapade. I have consistently held a job since I was 12, I am very passionate about my work in the automotive sector and I have rented (and held a lease independently/managed a share house) previously - there isn't any form of responsibility I shy away from.

I could rinse & repeat the cookie cutter 'clean, tidy, respectful' motto (as I am) but that feels rather insincere - I am looking for a sociable, friendly and inviting household with both shared and individual duties/housekeeping schedules, a high regard for other people's space and belongings and consideration of other housemate's differing work/life balances. I am looking for a true home to settle into while I adjust to this new, long-term phase of my life on my own. It is equally important to me to have both a sense of community and time to myself in a share house.

My timeline for this move is rather tight and I am therefore very flexible on a number of 'ideal' rental aspects.
- Bills/utilities do not necessarily have to be included
- I love, have grown up with (and will miss) my dogs and cats so any pets will be a major bonus
- I am not a big drinker, and I do not smoke, but I have no problem sharing a house with those who do
- House/room furnishings are not a deal breaker as I'm certain I will be wrestling my furniture from interstate during my moving process
- Off road parking would be brilliant but not necessary
- No preference for housemate gender, age, lifestyle type etc
- A backyard with some greenery, lawn, plants to care etc for would be lovely
