I recently separated from long term relationship and have a daughter although regretfully at this stage I am looking for 1 bedroom while everything is being worked out for my daughter. For that reason and that reason only I’m entering the concept of the whole flatmate /sharehouse 1 bedroom rental arrangement. This is strictly a short term requirement. I’m looking on the north side of Canberra. I have stipulated that I’m looking for accommodation ll n up to 6 months in reality I’m hoping it will be much less. Just going through process of selling our family home the option for me to stay is there but there’s to many complications and you can never know exact timeframes on how long it takes to sell. I want it empty to allow for the repairs here and there. I do not want anything in the Amaroo, Bonner, Ford or areas closely. Harrison, Palmerston, Franklin, Casey, Nicholls, Kaleen, Bruce or Evatt would be considered. I’m low maintenance keep to myself. Currently due to medical issues can’t drive so a bus stop or tram line would be a bonus. I do have two birds which I love dearly and would like to be able to keep them. The are White Bellied Caiques. They can get rather loud certain times. I’ve raised them since babies and they are very domesticated. If it’s good nice warm days I do take their cage outside but they do sleep inside especially during colder weather. They are flighted birds do not have wings clipped. If cooking is shared in house enjoy cooking or just as happy to look after myself. I have recently retired so will spend a lot of time at home, at least initially. I do want to find something constructive and something I’m passionate about. I’m still working that out. I do love animals although slightly allergic to cats I’m right at home with pets. Ideally I’m after a reasonable sized room with built in wardrobe. Happy to share bathroom. Note moving date is flexible.
