Hi, I’m moving to Canberra from Adelaide to start a new job as a research scientist. I enjoy playing sports (especially tennis) and being out in nature. I’m friendly, respectful, and tidy.
Annie Hey! My name's Annie and I study International Security & Political Science at ANU. My interests include ps4 games, everything nerdy and growing my teapot collection. I like to keep to myself but I'm always up for a chat. Celeste Hi! I'm Celeste and I study Engineering at ANU. I enjoy computer games, nights in with a glass of wine and everything food (as long as it's vegetarian)!!! I'm from Brisbane and I currently work at a clothes boutique store in Woden. Lily Hello. My name is Lily and I'm from Sydney. I'm studying IR and Law at ANU. I'm quite a relaxed person who just likes to watch the bachelor with a cup of tea in hand. I'm quite an artsy person; I enjoy Frankie magazines, gorman fashion and making pom-pom garlands.
Moving back to Canberra after a 2 year hiatus for work. Always up for a chat, but love my private space. I like to keep things clean and tidy, don't mind gatherings and love going out and letting new people. I enjoy cycling and plan to ride to work most days. I'm an IT professional, but certainly not the stereotype ;)
I'm clean and tidy person of commom areas. I don't like having mess around. Have OCD about cleaning and vacuuming. I have my pet puppy who is a maltease x shitzu. Hypo allergic so no one can have a reaction to her fur. Her name is melody. I have my own car and bike for transport. I don't drink alcohol as i don't like the taste. My hobbies and interest are typical nerdy stuff such as games, warhammer and anything music related. Always down for a chat about any topic if anyone has problems etc more than happy to hear about it :)
Hello, just found out my beautiful Watson house is being sold and I'm taking it as an opportunity for a bit of a change. I'm a tidy artist, I love cooking, always keen for a chat but respectful of space. I work at the National Gallery at the moment and I'm just about to go to Japan for three weeks!
I am 24 yo, having recently moved to Canberra to start my PhD in Astrophysics at ANU. I have spent considerable time traveling over the last 1.5 years, changing continents every 3-4 months while doing research in space sciences. I have lived in Canberra for 3 months last year while working at Mt Stromlo. I am a fairly easygoing and flexible person. I like to keep my house neat and tidy and respect everyone's personal space. I have lived in sharehouses before and have gotten along pretty well with my housemates. I enjoy a drink or two here and there and like to socialize. I love cooking and sharing meals (if you love Indian food, you can save lots of dollars you spend in Indian restaurants xD). In my free time, I like to binge watch Netflix, go out for movies/drinks or read. I like playing badminton and spend two evenings every week at ANU Sport with my badminton club. I am also good with pets and can help you take care of them if you have one. I have been very punctual with respect to rent and bills. I have a scholarship to pursue my PhD which can conveniently take care of all my expenses. I am looking to join a friendly household where I can feel like home. If you think we can click, please feel free to drop a message! PS: My moving in date is flexible and can be anything between October 1 - October 30.
I'm a full time student at the ANU studying a double degree in languages and archaeology. I am quiet and stick to myself, however I won't say no to an evening socializing with my housemates or a spontaneous grocery trip. I have previous experience sharing a house and am very keen on creating a welcoming environment. In my free time I enjoy watching Netflix, baking, reading, playing video games, and listening to podcasts. I would like to take up gardening, so if you have one that would be a big plus! I am more than happy if you have pets, but if you have a big and/or energetic dog I would like to meet them first. I do not have a car and cannot cycle due to medical reasons, so it would be great if there are bus stops nearby. NOTE: My maximum budget of $300pw includes bills. I look forward to meeting you :)
My name is Tash I'm 24 years old and making the big move up to Canberra in October from Melbourne. I'm starting a new job at a Sydney radio station on the 22nd of Oct so ideally looking to move into a place a few days before that. I like to think I'm super easy going, friendly and most certainly clean and tidy without being too ocd about it! I'm super keen to find a place which will make my transition nice and easy and hope that my housemates can take me under their wing! However, I certainly understand that everyone has their own lives going on and the need for space. If you think you'd like to live with me I'd love to hear from you!
I am a bubbly woman who is usually very busy. I am originally from Ecuador, I've been living here for about 4 years. I study engineering currently in my final year while working part-time. I am always keen to go for a coffee, stroll or have a cup of tea at home. I am also very organized and tidy, hate disordered so I'll contribute with cleaning on a regular basis. I ain't-a party person, won't be loud or bring people over.
Hey guys! I´m Michael, 26 years old and I am doing an internship at CSIRO at the moment in Canberra. I´m already here since 5 weeks and will stay for another 7 weeks, for which I search for a new accommodation. (got some issues with my room I stay at the moment). I´m tidy, easy to have and pretty chilled. But better just hit me up, so we can have a little chat or you just give me a quick call Best case would be to find a place not too far from CSIRO (+- 5 km) but I am really open for any suggestions. Looking forward to hear from you! Cheers!
** Thanks I have found a house! ** Hi, my name is Sam, my 11 yr old Spoodle dog and I are moving back to Canberra from Brisbane in early September and looking for a room in inner north or inner south Canberra. My dog is a very friendly poodle mix, so non shedding and house trained. He is a funny boy who will make you laugh. He loves other dogs so if there is already a dog in the house that would be great. I run a creative small business (internet and markets based) and work part time in retail as well. I am from Canberra so already know the community well and have missed it! I am a quiet home body type, young at heart, fun, considerate and reliable. I don’t have to live with any particular ages, am currently sharing with people in their thirties. I’m a non drinker and non smoker, don’t mind if you are a light drinker, but am not after a party house. Am happy to team up and rent a house with 1-2 others.
Moving to Canberra permanently for work! Originally from Melbourne but have resided in Sydney for the past year. I’m clean, relaxed and social, I have no preference for gender as long as they are like minded and easy to live with. I would prefer to live in a fairly modern apartment/house so looking at total $530-700 per week with 2 bedroom 2 bathroom set up and for around 12-18 months.
Hi I'm Jacinta. I'm a 27 year old PhD student studying biology at ANU. I love dancing, travel, wine and anything outdoors. I'm social, respectful and tidy. Looking for somewhere longer term stay in north canberra.
I am a really easy going, friendly person, who likes cooking (have even won the odd baking competition back in my teenage years). I am a non smoker, clean and enjoy my own space as well as having a glass of wine with housemates. I am in my fifth year of study, but work four days a week. I will definitely be looking to stay in canberra for awhile.
Hello! I’m a female student doing masters at the ANU. I’ve been living on campus in the past year, and I’m thinking to spend my last semester outside the uni, so that I can get a chance to enjoy a different environment with inspiring people. I'm a friendly and easy-going person, hardworking and a bit of obsessed with cleanliness xd so I am always excited whenever I have to do house-cleaning activities (it does help to release stress from uni workload though!). I love cooking and enjoy watching films and reading books. Always be happy to have nice conversations with everyone about anything. Cheers!
Hey! We're a couple moving down to Canberra in Jan/Feb 2019 for work/study. Elena is starting her PhD at ANU, and Oskar is starting work at the ATO. We're both very flexible people - we appreciate the need for private bedroom space, but will happily chill in the living space with other housemates after work and on weekends. Around the house we're both very low maintenance, the sort of people who'll make the effort to wash up the dishes in the evening so we don't have to deal with it in the morning. In her spare time, Elena loves reading, drinking tea, and playing hockey. Oskar plays a lot of ultimate frisbee, listens to music, and enjoys being out-and-about. We're both casual trumpet players, though we only practice once or twice a week so don't worry about the noise! We're looking for 1-3 people to share a house with somewhere within 7km or so (cycling distance) of ANU. We don't have any strong preferences in housemates, as long as they're roughly 18-30yrs old, don't smoke inside the house, and are socially accepting people. We hope to hear from you soon :)
Hey I'm Conrad. I'm a student at ANU. My accommodation runs out at the end of September and I'm looking for a place for the last 4 weeks of Semester before I fly back home to Western Australia. I like sport, art, most types of Music. I love travel so I have a wide range of interests. I'm doing a masters of middle eastern central Asian studies. I'm pretty clean and tidy and keeping the place looking neat. I'm friendly and easy to get on with. Give me a call.
I'm active and social, neat and considerate. I'm fairly busy so would like a place where I can have a chat over dinner or wine, but where others are fairly relaxed and respectful of personal time too. I'd probably ideally like to live with one other person, but am fairly flexible.
Hey there, my name is Rach and I live in Adelaide but I'm moving to Canberra in 2019 to work as a graduate in the APS. I'm looking for flatmates who are easy going, friendly, and enjoy a wine or two. I'm looking for flatmates who want to be friends, and spend the odd day or night together watching netflix/going for walks/watching the footy or having a BBQ. That being said, I'm also respectful of time to ourselves, and will need a bit of this to catch up on work and study, and go home to Adelaide every now and then. What can I bring to the table? Nice wine glasses, cheese knives and platters, coffee cups, and decent cooking skills. What can you bring? Hopefully a table! I'm good to keep things clean and tidy, pull my weight and pay my bills on time. In my spare time I like to be social, play with my dog Charlie (unfortunately he's not coming with me), scout out good coffee and good wineries. Coming from South Australia, I'm into things like supporting small wineries, local producers and farmers markets. It also means I'm used to being able to get anywhere in 20 minutes, so I'm looking for places in areas close to my work in Barton. If you think we'd get along, and you've got a room free around January/February 2019, please get in touch!
We are a brazilian married couple that came to Canberra for the Sarah's ph D studies. We are a quiet and friendly couple looking for a place to live. We love sports and make new friends.
Born in Melbourne, studied in Western Australia, and working in Queensland. My next venture is a PhD in Canberra at ANU. I will be arriving in Canberra around the start of October. If you have somewhere for me to stay i'm keen for a chat.
