Hi, my name is Nikhil. I’m a Civil Engineer currently based in Sydney, and I’ll be relocating to the Sunshine Coast for a new full-time role with an engineering consultancy starting on 12 January 2026. I’m looking for a clean and comfortable place to call home ideally a shared accommodation, studio, or 1-bedroom apartment.

A little about me:

• I currently live with my mum and younger brother in Sydney, and this is my first move to the Sunshine Coast.

• I work standard hours 8am–5pm, and I follow a healthy lifestyle, so I usually go to the gym after work — meaning I’m mostly home only during the evenings.

• On weekends, I enjoy playing snooker, going for long drives, or will be travelling back to Sydney to visit family.

• I’m clean, organised, and respectful — I always tidy up after myself and keep my living space fresh and clutter-free.

• I respect people’s privacy, keep noise low, and like a calm, peaceful home environment.

• I can cook and always leave the kitchen spotless afterwards.

• I’m an occasional drinker, but I don’t host parties or create disturbances.

• I prefer a place with a secured car park/garage, but I’m flexible with that depending on the location and property.

• A private bathroom would be a priority.

Cleaning & household habits:

• I clean as I go and never leave dishes or mess behind.

• I’m consistent with cleaning schedules and contribute to tidy common areas.

• I treat the home respectfully and look after everything as if it were my own.

• I don’t play loud music or have loud guests.

• Happy to chip in for shared essentials (dish soap, paper towels, etc.)

Lifestyle & personality:

• Friendly, easy-going, and independent but I also respect boundaries and personal space.

• Prefer a quiet, drama-free environment.

• Reliable with rent and work a stable full-time engineering job.

Budget & Move-in:

• My budget is $250–$400 per week, depending on the type of place and whether bills are included.

• I’m completely fine paying utilities separately if they aren’t included — just want clarity on what’s covered.

• Open to 6–12 month leases or longer
