Hi, I’m looking for a quiet, mindful, and clean household to call home. I work full-time Monday to Friday, with a work-from-home day usually on Wednesdays, so I keep a pretty regular and reliable schedule during the week.
In my downtime, I’m focused on a peaceful and healthy lifestyle. I’ve been practicing Theravada Buddhism for the last year and a half and spend most Sundays (and occasionally Saturday mornings) up at the monastery. I'm still learning and growing with it all, but once I get my new living space sorted, I'm hoping to build up a gentle morning routine that includes meditation and quiet chanting. I’m always open to chatting about that kind of stuff! I’m also working on getting a more consistent workout and stretching routine going, and am very keen to take up some yoga.
I still enjoy gaming, movies and a whole range of other things. I've a small collection of boardgames that would be free for future housemates to enjoy!
Regarding the room itself, I’m quite flexible with furnishings. I plan to set up a minimalist floor futon and tatami mat rather than a standard bed frame, so I'm happy to work around whatever the existing space requires.
For full transparency regarding my application: I don’t have recent rental history as I am coming out of a 15-year long-term relationship. My separation settlement with my ex-partner finalises on July 17th, meaning I am completely financially stable, independent, and ready to move.
