I moved to Australia back in October of 2025 and have spent most of my time in the Brunswick area. Landed myself a job as a mechanic within a couple weeks of arriving and have maintained it since. I spend a great bit of my time outside of the house with my commute to and from work, as well as general exploring of the city.
Being from Houston, I am enjoying a lot of the differences and similarities. I’m usually eager to try somewhere that’s recommended to me and see what different areas have to offer.
As for in the home, I often get home from work and immediately wash the day off before having a simple meal and sticking to my space. By no means antisocial, I just like to draw/read/study in my room oftentimes. When I do cook, it’s usually quick and requires minimal dishes that I wash as they’re done being used, or immediately after eating.
I very much do engaging with housemates over mutual interests and would certainly participate in a movie or dinner should the opportunity arise. Depending on level of compatibility, I’d be open to more social activities such as hitting a bar, going to eat, the gym, etc.
