Hello! I am Jo!

I am a 33-year old young woman who’s looking for a room somewhere in the inner north, and willing to pay until around 950 per month and be on the lease indefinitely :)

I am a great communicator not only but also because of my jobs (I am a teacher, actress and a translator, I speak a bunch of different languages). I teach languages (I am currently teaching English to immigrants like me) and I’m studying to become a drama teacher in Victorian secondary schools. I grew up in Southern Europe and lived in 7 different countries and 14 different cities during my adult life.

This has turned me into a human being with very complex identity issues (I truly don't know where I am from anymore) BUT with great tolerance and love for other cultures, countries and ways of living life. I have shared heaps of houses in all these different places, so I am really good at that. I know how to socialise/make great friends out of roommates while also respecting everyone else's boundaries and alone time. I would love to have roommates who also eventually become my friends (I’m trying to expand my social circle!), but I also don't expect it or would want to force that unless it happens naturally. Before I moved to Melbs, I lived in Aotearoa-NZ and I absolutely love that country.

I have been in Melbourne for the past 1.5 years, and I love how progressive Melbourne is, compared to some of the other places where I have lived in the past. It's my favourite thing about Melbourne, along with the independent arts scene.

I love kundalini yoga, body pump, cats, bouldering and spending time with friends! I love journaling, deep chats (the deeper the better), read every night, I love indie folk music, movies and TV shows and anything cultural/art-related. I am environmentally conscious too, and I’m part of the queer community :)
