I’m looking for a friendly, comfortable place to call home in Sydney from 6 March to 8 April 2027.

I’ll be in Sydney to volunteer with the Mardi Gras Film Festival and Mardi Gras more generally, so I expect to be out and about quite a bit, while having a welcoming and relaxed home base to return to.

I’m a mature married guy, but very much young at heart and comfortable mixing with people of all ages. I am travelling on my own this year but joining my partner in March for a tour of Vietnam. I’m sociable and enjoy meeting new people, but I’m also independent, respectful of other people’s space and certainly don’t expect my housemates to entertain me!

Back in London, I work as a product/brand ambassador and also run my own walking tours of central London, so meeting and talking with people from all sorts of backgrounds is a big part of my life. I have a strong theatrical and musical side as well and enjoy theatre, music, the arts, travel and good conversation.

As a short-term housemate, I think I offer a nice balance: I’m responsible, tidy and considerate, while also being friendly, outgoing and interested in the people around me. I’m not looking for a party house, but equally I’d love to stay somewhere where people are comfortable having a chat, sharing a coffee or glass of wine occasionally, and generally making a temporary housemate feel welcome.

I’m particularly interested in an LGBTQ+ friendly household and would be very happy in a mixed-age household. I think I’d fit particularly well with people who enjoy having an interesting, independent and sociable person around for a few weeks.

Most importantly, I’d treat your home with the same care and respect that I would want someone to show my own home in London.
