Hey, I’m 30, originally from Sydney and have been living in Brisbane for the last 6 years. I’m looking to make the move up to the Sunny Coast — mainly to get closer to the beach and make surfing a bigger part of my life.

I work in disability support, splitting my time between self-employed work and company work. I also own the sharehouse I currently live in, so I’m no stranger to living with other people and keeping a house running.

Outside of work I’m usually doing something. I’ve gotten properly into surfing recently, spend a lot of time at the gym, I’m learning Russian, and I have an unhealthy interest in modern history. I like cooking and trying to eat reasonably well, although I’m not above destroying a good pub feed. I’m also into bushwalking, exploring new places and generally getting out of the house.

I’m pretty social and enjoy having a chat, but I’m also happy doing my own thing. I’m always up for a communal dinner, heading out for a drink or doing something with housemates, but I’m equally happy to give everyone their own space.

I’m pretty easygoing around the house, reliable with rent and happy to help out with whatever needs doing. I think the main thing is just being considerate of the people you live with and being able to have a normal conversation if something comes up.

I have a 15-year-old dog called Vader who I share custody of, so he’d be around roughly half the time (currently about 2–3 weeks on and off). He is ridiculously chill. I’ve heard him bark exactly four times in the 3.5 years I’ve owned him. He likes people, can be inside or outside, barely sheds and causes basically zero problems. I’m pretty open on who I live with — anywhere from early 20s to early 40s is fine. Mainly looking for a decent house in a good location, with people who are clean, respectful and easy to get along with.
