My name is Kaarel Aadli, I'm 30 years old and I come from Estonia. I used to be a high school history teacher for six years but experienced burnout this last winter and decided to come to Australia for a year, mostly to enjoy the weather and see the world. I'm here with the working holiday visa and have a job coming up. That's also the reason why I started searching for a place in Brisbane. :-)
My interests lie in reading and writing. I am a poet and that means I write for a while every day and really enjoy doing it (won't be content without it). I walk and bike a lot daily and enjoy going to cafés to relax, read and people watch - I also write about cafes on my Substack (in Estonian though). Other than that I also enjoy movies, good urban spaces and a good conversation (I'm into performing arts and arts in general)! My lifestyle is usually pretty relaxed, I usually wake up at 9-10 am, have a long breakfast and prepare for the day, which usually means a bit of writing here and there, maybe a café, meeting friends, and reading or watching a movie in the evening. If I get the job, all of that will probably change and I will start having a casual workday (ca 7am-3pm). That means I will be tired in the evening and probably rest and read in my room, but won't say no to a good conversation, because I am very sociable and open.
I don't smoke or vape, nor do I drink alcohol and I don't have pets.
I would be happy to move in right away, starting 10th September.
I am very happy to keep things nice and tidy, that is my modus operandi. Every single thing has a place of it's own. That's also one of the main sources of playful arguments I have with my wife (she's in Estonia): that I'm too tidy for her. I won't make too much of a fuss of it in shared spaces (I'm okay if things are a bit messy), but my own spaces I do like to keep clean.
If it looks like I might be someone you are interested in, I'm happy to talk to you on the phone.
Grateful to hear from you! :-)
