hi hi hi! My name is Wil and I'm looking for a place to settle while completing my first-year undergrad studies at UTAS in 2027.
I am a relatively quiet person, but I love meeting new people and build rapport quickly with others. I love communal arrangements and would love to find a place where I can connect with my roommates on some level, whether that is a simple dinner at home together or quick chats in passing.
About me:
I love botany and ecology and I'm fascinated by the 'goings about' of the natural world and the mechanisms that underpin its movements. Next year I am undertaking first year studies in a Batchelor of science leading up to a major in ecology. I dream of eventually becoming a park ranger or working in a science communication role and will excitedly be taking many big steps toward this goal in the coming year. Additionally, music and songwriting is the love of my life. I have been playing guitar and bass in a myriad of genres for little over 5 years and it is my zen. Having lived at a student residence, I'm typically pretty quiet, often plugged into headphones through my laptop. On the side, I love reading, creative writing, craft, and cooking.
I am something of a night owl but like the night, I am silent. I am definitely not the party type and keep my spaces my own and tidy. Having lived at a student residence this year, I am well versed in maintaining the habits of a clean living environment.
I plan to find a place by November-December before the new year to settle in and explore the Hobart region before commencing study where I will be working over the coming months.
